The first week was hectic. First, I managed to consolidate all of my bills into one loan. This will hit me a bit, but will hopefully be able to reduce the stress of the debt I had – some being as high as 27%. Also, in the first week, I received my rent rebate which was transferred to my new checking account. I also had a couple of appointments and had to go to the community center to collect my food from their food bank.
The second week, I got my food stamps which of course – I used to get the majority of my food. I also took Malak in for his annual checkup. Because of everything beforehand, it was a bit hard on me. I made due as normally. I also changed ISPs from Comcast to Verizon FiOS. I am going to keep that as long as possible, however, I need it for at least 4 months, otherwise, the change will be for naught. The reason of the change is Comcast will not allow current customers to get Internet Essentials. Malak also got his annual checkup. He is 80lb of muscle, and relatively healthy for his age. The vet recommended fish oil capsules to help with any joint issues he might have in the future. He is at least 6 years old now, so that is a reasonable concern. As expected, he tested negative for heartworm. Continue reading July 2017
This month could have been better. I severed ties with my brother and his ex-girlfriend. If one was to talk to him, he would make it sound as if it was over one incident. In reality, it is over 20 years of misbehavior, and the incidents in question are just the straw that broke the camel’s back so to say. The first week also had an outing on the behalf of someone else, and two appointments – all of which took a bit out of me. Nonetheless, I made due as usual.
The second week – mostly was spent trying to reduce the issues of the first week. I did have to go to the grocery store. The upstair’s neighbor passed her responsibility for the cat on to me. I already changed my passphrase, and will no longer allow her to have access to my network. I am sure she will not be happy about it, but I care not. As for the kitten, the cat went to animal control Continue reading June 2017
A bit has happened today. First, the last of my loan payment was paid today. This means, next month, I will be able to devote that money to another issue that should be addressed. However, on a more personal level, I had a number of things that needed to be done. First, I needed to get cleats on my shoes. After that, I needed to go to Katsur Dental to get panoramic X-Rays since my insurance will only cover for one every 5 years. After the pickup of the X-Ray copy, I then went to Petco which I had to get a couple of things for the dogs. After that, I took a bus to the Northside, and dropped off the copy, and waited for a bus home.
Once I got home, I took the dogs for a walk, although I was in too much pain to take them for an evening walk. I spent a little bit of time working on a web site, and watched a few videos. After that, I prepared dinner, but accidently dropped it. Rather than spending another 45 minutes making it again – I simply just made a sandwich. I closed the evening with a bath, and got ready for bed.

Not much happened today. I had to wait on a prescription to come. Chris also stopped by, and stayed for an hour or two. I also called a company that had a loan with me, and verified that I had just one more payment which I do. This will mean a final loan payment will be in October which will mean I will be able apply that money to a credit card starting in November. I also tried to get a hold of Andrea to ask something important with her, but she has been rather elusive.
As for plans for tomorrow, I will have to go to the grocery store to get a loaf of bread. I will also want to address another issue, but if I don’t, I will just pay the over-priced local bread here. Tomorrow is also garbage day, so I will have to take out my trash.
Not much happened today. I walked the dogs, but I had to go to the main street. I went to the pharmacy and asked if they knew any place in Troy Hill that supports cash back on Debit Cards. They didn’t, but the pharmacist loaned me $5, and I of course gave him back the money. I went to the store on East Ohio Street to pick up a couple of things.
No plans for tomorrow. My day will be a bit quiet. So will my weekend. I will be continuing on working on my web site. Otherwise – much will be the same.
Today was a roller coaster of a day. I made a couple of calls to try to get the money I will need for the security deposit. Thankfully, I finally got it, but will have to pay interest on it and a bit pricey one, but better than not having a place to live. I got the money in the evening, and that would mean that I will have to go to the post office tomorrow morning to get a money for the security deposit. I currently have 2 money orders, but will see if I can merge them into one.
On other news, I have also received the Wimax modem. I have the modem set up against the window so it could get the best connection, and I seem to be getting between 50% – 75% signal strength (based on 1 dot = 25%). The modem is nice looking, and seems to have an RJ-11 port for VOIP/SIP which surprises me that I am having crappy latency. Hopefully, I will solve that issue. Continue reading 2011-01-17
OK, those whom had read my blog this week would see my desire in the Blackberry 8900. Well, it pretty much comes down to a few things. It would be money that is owed, and money that would be lent to me. Also, a little bit of my money would also come out of this, but if everything works right, I would have the BlackBerry 8900 with a brand new number. So what would this mean?
As in a previous post, the 8900 would cost about $325 including tax, and before rebate. If I am going to get it within a month, I would have to be able to borrow $150. I asked an associate of mine if he would lend it, and he said he would think about it. If not, I would have to save up for it. If so, it would mean I would have to come up with $175. I done some work for someone, and he would owe me $80. This money should come in the third week of the month. I also lent some money to someone and would use $45 to apply to the phone. My brother still owes me for his phone bill which would be use for the phone since I already paid it. That should mean that I would have all of the initial cost. If something minor doesn’t work out, I should have about $50 in a credit card which should help offset a small problem.
