June 2017

This month could have been better. I severed ties with my brother and his ex-girlfriend. If one was to talk to him, he would make it sound as if it was over one incident. In reality, it is over 20 years of misbehavior, and the incidents in question are just the straw that broke the camel’s back so to say. The first week also had an outing on the behalf of someone else, and two appointments – all of which took a bit out of me. Nonetheless, I made due as usual.

The second week – mostly was spent trying to reduce the issues of the first week. I did have to go to the grocery store. The upstair’s neighbor passed her responsibility for the cat on to me. I already changed my passphrase, and will no longer allow her to have access to my network. I am sure she will not be happy about it, but I care not. As for the kitten, the cat went to animal control Continue reading June 2017

Declaring War on My Debt

At time of writing this post, I have three debts of $2,650 + Interest, and one debt in collections (which I will detail later in this post). This is a significant improvement from a couple of years ago where I owed nearly $40,000. Needless to say, I have declared war on the money I owe to banks, and other creditors and taking on my financial mistakes with a vengeance.

This however is not without sacrifice. I had to make some serious decisions in my life, and I am sure some people will disagree with my actions, but the ideal is to live meagerly now so I can have a better life later. Some people will want to get out of debt so they can buy a car or a house. I don’t see me having such options available to me. In reality, the idea of owning a place I can call my own is a fantasy rather than a dream. So why am I doing it? Well, first – it is the right thing to do. Second, when I seen a light at the end of the tunnel, I had to make $125 in minimum payments per month to be on good terms with the companies I deal with now. Considering that I live below the poverty line, this is a serious challenge that will never end unless I first fix my life, and second attack my debt with the ferocity it deserves. Almost 2 years. Time for an Upgrade?

It has been almost two years, and in about 4 months – it would have been 20 months since I had the first revision of the My Touch as my cellular phone. When I bought it, I wanted it for GPS, and 3G capabilities. At the time, it was the only smart phone that was such an option for me. Now a days, in comparison – it will seem as if my phone is more like a toy rather than a phone. And there are times I am frustrated with the CPU lag it gives to me. Of course with a 528Mhz CPU on an OS that should be using twice the CPU, I guess I can’t blame it. So, I already know I wish to upgrade, but exactly what, and would I settle for less? Well, first I don’t see a reason to settle for less, and if there is no phone I am comfortable with on my carrier, I simply would either consider another carrier, or not get a new phone.

I will go into each and every detail that I will consider as important to me, and would offer my thoughts to such. With that in mind, I would focus on what I would want, and expect for my needs. While I am sure that there are other features some may find as important, that would be on their interests, and not so much of mine. However, I would of course need a smart phone that would support Google Voice, and offer the ability to tether without paying extra.
