July 2017

The first week was hectic. First, I managed to consolidate all of my bills into one loan. This will hit me a bit, but will hopefully be able to reduce the stress of the debt I had – some being as high as 27%. Also, in the first week, I received my rent rebate which was transferred to my new checking account. I also had a couple of appointments and had to go to the community center to collect my food from their food bank.

The second week, I got my food stamps which of course – I used to get the majority of my food. I also took Malak in for his annual checkup. Because of everything beforehand, it was a bit hard on me. I made due as normally. I also changed ISPs from Comcast to Verizon FiOS. I am going to keep that as long as possible, however, I need it for at least 4 months, otherwise, the change will be for naught. The reason of the change is Comcast will not allow current customers to get Internet Essentials. Malak also got his annual checkup. He is 80lb of muscle, and relatively healthy for his age. The vet recommended fish oil capsules to help with any joint issues he might have in the future. He is at least 6 years old now, so that is a reasonable concern. As expected, he tested negative for heartworm. Continue reading July 2017

July 2015

This month has been a continuation on seeing a psychologist which through addressing other issues of my life will hopefully reduce the pain. I did wanted to take the dogs for their annual check up, but this didn’t work out the way I wanted it too. Got some work on the ACTA Document done, although, still a bit of effort that needs to be done. Otherwise – this month has been relatively quiet. And it is months like this where it is a struggle to get a paragraph for the whole month on why I no longer do daily or weekly life updates.

Week 29 – 2014

Not much happened this week, but what did happened wasn’t for the best. I had a couple of minor things that needed to be done. It rained a few times which reduced the options of walking the dogs. They did get some long walks though. On Thursday, I took the two to the vets for an annual checkup, and vaccinations. The vet is concerned for Talisa due to the hair loss she has in the back side. He wants me to do a CBC-Chem and a Thyroid test ASAP.  The tests will cost $100 + transit to get her there and back.

For this, the landlord was very kind in offering me $25 for the tests. He said I could take it out of the rent, and considering I pay $30/month in pet fees, it’s not much of a loss on the actual rent. Someone I know needs their phone replaced. This person owes $25 to begin with. I took what was Gage’s phone (which is my phone), replaced it with a better phone which I paid half down, and put the other half on EIP. This should now allow me to get the old phone unlocked, and sold to the person for the down payment I made on Gage’s new phone + the money owed. This will mean $75 + $25. This will just mean I will have to get the money to transport her. I of course still have to sell the phone, but at least it will be something. In turn, my nephew has a better device, and this person that owes $25 will have a reason to pay the money owed.

Today was a busy day. I took the two for a walk. After that, I got ready to go to the pharmacy where I dropped off a prescription, got two rawhides, and something small to drink while I will wait for the return bus. This allowed me to get cash back which I planed to give the money to Malak’s previous owner for taking everyone to the vet’s.

Later in the morning I received a package for replacement chew sticks which is good as I was low on them. I didn’t expect to receive them until at least Monday. I wasn’t complaining though. Nicole came about 2:45 and got us there in time, although we had to wait for a while. She decided to visit the animals that were there (Western Pennsylvanian Humane Society). In the meantime, Malak weighed in at 76lb, while Talisa is 82.
