June 2018

Not much happened this month. I had problems with my Moto Z Play1 where the headphone jack and the moto mod pins weren’t working properly. An acquaintance asked if they could have it, which I agreed to it. I however needed a new phone, and I opted for the One Plus 6 which one could read a review on it.

When acquiring the One Plus 6, I added a cellular plan. Since this is a dual SIM phone, I have the newer carrier (with unlimited minutes) in SIM and is default for making calls. My Lifeline provider is in SIM 2 which I have it set to where unknown callers will ring that SIM so the service can remain active. In addition to acquiring a new service provider, I bought a case for the phone to help protect it from bumps, and an accidental drop.

February 2017

This month could have been better, but one can’t complain. With the month being warmer than most Februaries – Malak was able to get more walks. Started to see a new therapist for my social anxiety, however he hasn’t given any recommendations other than what was recommended before with the pain psychologist. Still have yet to have a new psychiatrist.

On some other news, I have been having problems with my cellular phone. I think I will stop buying Blu Products since anything I seem to buy from there never meet my expectations a few months later. Considering that Pixel (successor to Nexus) is so expensive, I might have to look for alternatives. However, my plans do not allow me to replace my current phone; so I have some time yet.

Reduce My Transportation Problem

I have a crazy idea. And when I say crazy, I mean that it could never happen (due to a few issues), but will make sense if it could happen. Those that know me knows that I carry a philosophy that this world is so screwed up, that if something makes sense, it will never happen. So what is this crazy idea? Well, I have to deal with public transportation, and my home bus (the bus(es) to serve the neighborhood I live in) only runs hourly. This has caused a number of problems. For example, a day before today (2016-05-27), I had a doctor’s appointment. This appointment was at 10AM, but I got to the doctor’s office at 9:10AM because if I caught a later bus, I would have been late. And me being 30 minutes or more early for appointments is a regular occurrence because the only home bus runs hourly. In addition, I have a dog, and no driver’s license because of medical issues. I will like to be able to get my dog to places other than just the neighborhood I live in, and this is not possible (currently) with public transportation. One major instance will be a veterinarian checkup that should happen every year. To walk Malak there will be a 90 minute walk, and due to the time of the year that it is possible for me to take him means very hot concrete.

So what will my solution be? Well, it will be nearly $2,000, but this will be a bike with all of the items I will need and the components that will make such an idea feasible. I never ridden a bike before, and while that is usually a childhood staple, a normal childhood is something I never had. This will obviously mean I will have to learn to ride a bike, and then there are the ankles which I have almost no mobility which I am sure will have some balance issues. So, this will raise some issues, and cause for some adjustments. In addition, this will also need to be a solution to allow me to take my dog if he needs to go somewhere, and address issues like groceries, and possible doctor appointments. November 2015

October was bad, and November wasn’t much better. The weather was suitable which allowed me to focus on helping Malak through the grieving process. I on the otherhand will have a harder time to deal with it. People are still asking where’s the other dog which can be infuriating to have to repeat myself. The Pain Psychologist I have been seeing has done as much as she can with helping. She also feels considering that she deals with pain, I will also benefit from another specialty.

Verizon decided to charge more than I can afford, so I ended up going to Comcast. Not something I would have wanted to do as I am not in favor with Comcast, and on the first day, they were screwing things up. And while I liked T-Mobile, I moved services over to Project Fi which is Google’s MVNO. They are about half of the cost, but the conflicts with Google Voice has me somewhat concerned over what hoops I will have to jump through.

All in all, things are much the same. I been tolerating life, and while I know that doesn’t sound too optimistic, it is for my state.

Week 37 – 2014

A few things happened this week. One of the big things is I caught a flea on Talisa, so I went to Petco, and grabbed flea shampoo. Not quite what I wanted to spend the few funds I had on, but it was something that needed to be done. Of course, both Malak, and Talisa got a bath, and post treatment. I also had fallen a little ill with flu symptoms which forced me to buy medicine to make the coughs tolerable. Chris stopped by a couple of times, but nothing too exciting beyond that.

On a better note, a good friend of mine from Mexico City got a hold of me. She suddenly disappeared, but reappeared, so to me – that is a good thing. She now has a 7 month old son, but it has been more than a year since we had contact. In addition, I have been having problems with Yahoo Messenger which is leaving me to consider terminating the program from the PC. Otherwise, things are pretty much the same.  As for plans for next week, not much is planned. I will have to go for a dental appointment, and pay a bill. I will also have to get my prescription filled for my refills. Otherwise, the coming week will be rather quiet.

Week 22 – 2014

This week was a little busy. I got half of the money from Andrea for her phone bill. I also got money that someone else owed me. My brother is still having problems. In addition, I had to pay for an insurance deductible. In addition, the neighbor’s tree got struck by lightning and fell into the back yard. The tree got cut down on Friday. Friday was also spent in paying my bills, and I got my niece a domain name for her birthday. Obviously, I am also hosting it for her.

My source of income came in, and obviously the first thing I did was set everything in motion to pay my bills. My rent got mailed out, and my credit cards got their payment. I made sure I set aside some money in my bank to address my electric bill. I also walked the dogs to my brother’s place on Saturday, and while Nippers is usually behaved, she decided to start a fight with Malak a couple of times. No serious injuries, Nippers had a couple of scratches, but all is well. Each occurrence only lasted a few seconds until I was able to pull the instigator off, and correct her. The most serious event was a long skin deep scratch on my leg which is fine. After the episodes, everything was fine.

As for plans for next week, not much is planned. I am expecting the registration of 2 domains to come through, and I will have to send back the phone my brother broke which is a part of Assurance’s agreement. The landlord has to make a minor repair which I think is from the fallen tree, but otherwise – little else is planned.

Week 21 – 2014

Not much happened this week. I had a dental appointment to try to correct my upper dentures which seems to have to go back to the lab for fixing. I also did some work on a few of my sites which I was hoping to accomplish more, but it is OK. Last, I purchased an album from Within Temptation, and got a new head collar for one of the dogs. Malak’s collar is wearing – so I bought a red one for Talisa. This will allow me to use Talisa’s older collar for Malak. And since I have Amazon Two day Prime shipping, and they will be sending it via Fedex, I will get it in about a week.

As for plans for next week, I will be walking the dogs to my brother’s, and they will get a couple of other longer walks, but most likely to Downtown or the Strip District. I am also expecting one of my domains that I had pre-registered to hopefully clear through. If not, I should get a refund. At the end of the week, I will expect to get my benefits which will mean I will have to pay my bills. Otherwise, I will continue doing what I am doing with the one web site I have been focusing on.

Not much happened today. I was prepared to walk to one of the local stores to get low dose aspirin for Malak, but someone was willing to pick some up for me which was very nice of her. Chris never showed up for this weekend, and he still owes for his phone bill. Not much else happened today.

As for plans for tomorrow, I am hoping that Malak’s pulled muscle gets better. I also have to run a couple of errands which has to be done. Unfortunately, it will be hard to combine my errands and grocery shopping into one day, so I am not going to try.

Today could have been a better day. I noticed Malak limping after our walk which I am hoping he just pulled a muscle. The fact he went to chase after something in the back yard isn’t making things better. I am going to give him the weekend to see if he is improving. If not, I will have to figure out how to get him to see a vet.

Otherwise, not much happened today. I did some work on a couple of sites, but that is about all. I did try to keep Malak resting although the leg that seems to be hurting is a little swollen

This day was a bit busy, although not as busy as yesterday. I had to handle some work for the behalf of someone else, which was done in the morning. I also received my Amazon order from UPS. The order consists of four 5lb weights, and a new backpack. My old backpack was fraying at some seams which threatens my notebook. The weights were for the behalf of the dogs.

As for the weights, Malak is walking slower, but this will be expected as he needs to adjust to the weight. Talisa wasn’t as rambunctious neither. They both got walked twice today with the weights, and one time this morning. As for the backpack, the backpack is good mostly, but there are a couple of missing features.
