The first two weeks of the month were extremely busy. On the first, I took my prescription down to Rite-Aid to be filled. It would seem as if they wanted to “give company policy” to make me make a special trip the next day to get my prescription. I was considering seeing if there were alternatives, but it will seem as if the anesthesiologist will start submitting my morphine to the pharmacy electronically. I will expect I will still need to provide ID.
Seen my pain psychologist on Wednesday, and went to a community center for the food bank on Friday. These too were in the first week of the month. In addition, on Tuesday of the first week, I went to the pharmacy (again), followed by getting cleats on my shoes, and an appointment for an eye exam and new glasses. It would seem as if my eyes were a bit worse. To make matters worse, not only did I need Transition Lenses (when the lens gets darker in sunlight), but the eye doctor wanted me to have a no glare lens as well. I expected to have a $500 bill, and the bill came to $493. This meant I needed to use a credit card. I got the new glasses on May 12.

This week was a bit of a busy week. Almost every day, I was out doing something. Exceptions to this was on Sunday. On Monday, the dogs got a long walk. This was a bit different from their normal one as they had a walk as far as Downtown. On Tuesday, I had a dental appointment for denture fittings. On Wednesday, I had an appointment with my primary care doctor which wanted me to see a specialist for an ear problem I have. On Thursday, I made the appointment which they wanted me to come in the next morning. In addition, the dogs got a longer walk – this time just to the Giant Eagle. In addition, Chris stopped by for a couple of hours. On Friday, I had the appointment with the ear doctor which some medicine was prescribed. After which, I had to run an errand. On Saturday, I had to wait for FedEx to deliver a package. This package was rawhide sticks for the dogs, a USB Charging hub, and cooking rings which is used for pancakes, and eggs. After that, I went to the Laundromat which I had to do my laundry.
On other events, I received a letter from Duquesne Electric accepting me into the CAP program which helps with reducing the electric bill. I also got cleats on my shoes which was needed especially considering that I do have to walk a lot with the dogs. I got my SSI benefits which went to my bills, and credit cards. Otherwise, this has been a productive, but hard weekend. There were a few days where I had to supplement my pain medicine with Ibuprofen.

This week is a pretty quiet week considering it is the end of the month. The first few days were busy. On Sunday, I went to help my brother, and his girlfriend with something. Since there were no buses, I had to walk down the hill, and when returning home, I used Spring Garden Avenue to Lager which was a little bit easier (although longer) than traversing Troy Hill Road. On Monday, I went to the grocery store to get some things I needed. However, I didn’t get everything I needed which was a little disappointing, but I will make due. In addition, I bought a bag of dog food. While I am not low on their food, it is still good to make sure I have a spare bag. Although, I did get shampoo which I was low on. I also got my prescription filled, but didn’t make it to the bank to deposit a $10 check I received. Later in the evening, someone came to drop off money he owed for a small favor I did for him. In turn, I went to the bank on Tuesday morning to deposit the check, and cash. This will then be applied to my Capital One Card that I use to pay bills with.
In addition, on Tuesday, I had to make a couple of phone calls to address a couple of things. Chris also stopped by and spent the night. However this day has been relatively quiet. One of the calls I had to make was for an appointment with my PCP. They managed to get me in the next morning. This however meant that Chris and I left my apartment at about 7:30AM. I went to his place after my appointment for lunch, and then back home.

Today was a very tedious day. I called the head Social Security Office which they told me I will have to go down to the office. I also had to get blood work at the request of my PCP, and cleats on my shoes. I paid the full fare bus fare to get into Downtown early only so I could wait 45 minutes at Quest Diagnostics to be seen. After that, I went to the Social Security Office which I was seen by the person I needed to speak with about 10:30AM (90 minutes later). After that, I got new cleats on my shoes, and then went to Rite-Aid to pick up the last of my prescriptions. As usual, they didn’t fill them until I got there, and by the time they finished, I had to make a decision to deposit the money in the bank, and wait an hour, or deposit the money later.
When I got home, I let the dogs out, answered a web message, and fed the dogs. I then prepared to deposit the money and get some groceries. I waited until rush hour service which meant a shorter wait for the bus home. I finished the day walking the dogs in the evening, and writing this blog post. However, much of my day was wasted.

A bit happened today. I had a doctor’s appointment. I left at 10AM, and got home at 2:30PM. Most of that time was deal with the bus as I was in my appointment for about 30 minutes. I also learned the primary care physician I had for more than 15 years will be leaving for a teaching position. This will mean I will have a new doctor.
After leaving my appointment, I had to get a couple of prescriptions filled. I then went home to walk the dogs, and spent the rest of the day home. I went to bed although didn’t sleep well.

A bit happened today, some of which was disappointing. First, I had a doctor’s appointment which was not much happened there. The doctor prescribed something for a small ear infection. Otherwise, nothing much happened. I then went to Downtown to check on my mail in false hope that One Main Financial finally sent the check they should have a week ago. It would seem as if they hadn’t yet. I will be checking again on Monday the 19th when I go for another appointment.
In the mid afternoon, the shopping cart ordered from Walmart came. This will mean that future events that I will have to go grocery shopping, especially for dog food, the cart will be taken. Since dog food is 38lbs (17.23kg) for the bag that will last two weeks, the idea is I should be able to put a minimum of one, and hopefully two bags in, and make it easier to bring the food back home, especially since I have to walk at least 3 city blocks to get to the closest bus stop to go home.

Not much happened today. I finally got a dental appointment, however after the blistering in the gum broke, the pain relieved a bit. A call from my PCP also was done which a message was left for me. They wanted to know how long I will be on the pain medicine which I assumed they knew – however, I returned the call and told them.
Not much else happened today. As for plans for tomorrow, I will have the dental appointment. I will also probably get an anti-biotic until they could get some major work done. Otherwise, I will be hoping to walk the dogs before I leave if it will stop raining.
