Week 37 – 2014

A few things happened this week. One of the big things is I caught a flea on Talisa, so I went to Petco, and grabbed flea shampoo. Not quite what I wanted to spend the few funds I had on, but it was something that needed to be done. Of course, both Malak, and Talisa got a bath, and post treatment. I also had fallen a little ill with flu symptoms which forced me to buy medicine to make the coughs tolerable. Chris stopped by a couple of times, but nothing too exciting beyond that.

On a better note, a good friend of mine from Mexico City got a hold of me. She suddenly disappeared, but reappeared, so to me – that is a good thing. She now has a 7 month old son, but it has been more than a year since we had contact. In addition, I have been having problems with Yahoo Messenger which is leaving me to consider terminating the program from the PC. Otherwise, things are pretty much the same.  As for plans for next week, not much is planned. I will have to go for a dental appointment, and pay a bill. I will also have to get my prescription filled for my refills. Otherwise, the coming week will be rather quiet.

A bit has happened today. First, the last of my loan payment was paid today. This means, next month, I will be able to devote that money to another issue that should be addressed. However, on a more personal level, I had a number of things that needed to be done. First, I needed to get cleats on my shoes. After that, I needed to go to Katsur Dental to get panoramic X-Rays since my insurance will only cover for one every 5 years. After the pickup of the X-Ray copy, I then went to Petco which I had to get a couple of things for the dogs. After that, I took a bus to the Northside, and dropped off the copy, and waited for a bus home.

Once I got home, I took the dogs for a walk, although I was in too much pain to take them for an evening walk. I spent a little bit of time working on a web site, and watched a few videos. After that, I prepared dinner, but accidently dropped it. Rather than spending another 45 minutes making it again – I simply just made a sandwich. I closed the evening with a bath, and got ready for bed.

A bit has happened today. I had to go and take care of a few errands. Of course the dogs got their walk and some exercise before hand and they got their evening workout too. However, a few hours in the day, I was gone.

I had to first go to the bank, and make a deposit in the bank. Once I did  that, I needed to go to Petco to get a new feces scooper. I decided to instead spend the money on a shovel type rather than the mechanical one with a gripper that ended up breaking in a few months. While I was at the Waterworks Mall, I spent about $5 to get a backpack since mine was starting to fray at the shoulder straps. It’s not much of a backpack. It has a notebook pocket, a main pocket, and a smaller pocket for things such as cash, and cards. Needless to say, this will take a lot of getting used to, but I am hoping it will only be until I can replace it with a better backpack.

A bit happened today. Chris spent the night last night, and went home around 10AM. In addition, someone that owed money brought it over which was a help. I will be making use of that indeed. And I spent the last of my rent rebate on things the dogs needed.

This involved me going to the Petco which I got them new tags (to reflect changes), got them better food bowls, flea/tick prevention medicine, two heavy duty Kong toys, and new bones for when they use up the old ones. This of course wiped out my last of my Rent Rebate, but in turn – it got them a few things the dogs needed.

Not much happened today. I had to go to Petco to get replacement bones for the dogs. I also got a small bag of treats, but don’t think Talisa likes them much. I will still use them when possible.

My brother left about 8AM for work. I also been getting a weaker signal with my phone, so I turned wifi calling on. I turned it off due to unreliability. Otherwise, not much else happened.
