Week 11 – 2014

This week was a bit eventful. Even though Capital One denied me receiving the Quicksilver card (the one with cash back), and received a notice of the denial, I received another application request, and got the card I applied for. So, go figure. This week has been relatively busy otherwise. On Monday, I had to go to my anesthesiologist for a regular check up, and prescription. While on the bus to that appointment, I made an appointment for the dentist for the next day for some mold castings. In addition, on Monday, I bought a new pair of jeans, a package of socks, and razors (cheap ones) that will be used if the set I ordered does not come in time.

On Tuesday, it was just as busy. First, I went to register with the CAP Program. This will help make my electric bill a little more affordable. The representative suggested that I don’t pay next month’s bill which will be a shocker to me. However, I will follow their advise – at least for one month. That money will however go to my credit card. I also had to call a specialized pharmacy to verify some information for a special medicine I will receive for my pain. This will be in conjunction with my regular pain medicine. I then returned home, walked the dogs, and took a little nap. I woke up to go to the dentist which I forgot my shopping cart. I therefore will have to go another day. The dental appointment was better than most of the appointments as there was no real discomfort as they had to file a couple of the teeth down for the mold castings.

On Wednesday, I went to the grocery store. From there, I got a bit of the groceries I will need, although I neglected to get a few things. I will have to get these things another day though. I also had to get some napkins, and put funds on my Transit card. While it would have been better to do this the day before, I forgot the shopping cart, so that was simply not possible. However, the past couple of days had left me with a lot of pain. In turn, I rested much of Wednesday which is good considering it was drizzling much of the day, and there was even some snow fall in the evening.

Thursday was much like any other day with the exception of the bitter cold. I gave the dogs a short walk, but it wasn’t a pleasant one for me. Also FedEx decided to leave medicine that had to be in room temperature out on the stoop where it was below freezing. As a precaution, I will give it a day or two to warm up before opening it up. Chris also stopped by and spent the night – this however will put a delay into my plans for Friday which will be to go to the grocery store in the morning rush hour service.

Friday was a bit of a warmer day. After Chris left for work, I prepared to go to the grocery store to get the things I needed – or at least most of the things I needed. I came home to walk the dogs, took a nap to relieve the pain, and made their and mine’s meal. I also received a phone, and received a settlement check for $7.00. I also got a SPAM call which I set that number to go straight to voicemail.

Saturday was a pretty quiet day. I gave the dogs a short walk, and did some work on a document. I also watched a few episodes of Orphan Black from Amazon’s VOD. I would have re-synched my music, but forgot to do so. I will likely do that first thing tomorrow morning.

No plans for next week. I will likely be home much of the time with exception of walking the dogs. While I still have that $7.00 check, it is not worth making a special bus trip to deposit it. I will wait until I have other things to address as well.
